Fish pin badges are made using almost the same techniques and processes as metal ornaments, including carving with a chisel, cutting with a jigsaw, filing, and coloring.
We are particularly particular about the final coloring process.
No paint is used, and the natural color is created by chemically reacting the materials (copper and brass) with chemicals, which makes the product less likely to fade.
You might think it would be quicker to cut it out using a mold, but that won't create the three-dimensional effect.
